AIMS ACADEMY

Montessori at AIMS

A Safe, Pleasant, Gamified, Playful, and Academic Environment

The Montessori program offers an age-specific and age-appropriate learning environment that resembles a home-like setting. Our engaging learning environment is designed with an emphasis on safety, gamification, playfulness, and academics.

In addition, our Montessori certified teachers specialize in early childhood education. As a result, our programs foster self-motivated growth for children in all areas of their development—cognitive, emotional, social, and physical.

Our teachers interact with the parents every day to analyze their child's development at home and design learning activities accordingly. Our holistic approach sparks curiosity from students, which they follow at their own pace, taking the time to understand each concept and meet individualized learning goals.

Montessori students at AIMS grow up to be confident, enthusiastic, and self-directed learners.

Primary and Secondary Education at AIMS

The instruction for grades 1 - 10 are based on the curriculum mandated by the Ministry of Education, Government of Nepal. However, our instructors creatively design activities, assessments, and assignments to include relevant and exciting topics not included in the curriculum mandated by the government. We leverage the idea of iterative assessment to improve student academic performance. First, student's understanding of a topic is assessed using formative and summative assessments. Then we make adjustments in the next lesson to differentiate instruction based on the data we collected from the previous assessment.

We use multiple textbooks published by the government of Nepal, national and international private publishers. More than 90% of the instruction is delivered using the English language. We also provide students with the opportunity to explore additional languages such as Sanskrit. Formative assessments are conducted at least six times a year, and summative assessments are conducted whenever deemed unnecessary by the course instructor.

Students at AIMS are also exposed to additional co-curricular and extra-curricular activities to reinforce their mastery of subject matters and life lessons. For example, we frequently conduct workshops and competitions on essays, fictional and non-fictional writing, speech, debate, and reading. In addition, students are taken on field trips for scholarly and leisure purposes and asked to account for their visit verbally and through writings. Quiz and debate competition is also an integral part of academics at AIMS.

Extra-Curricular activities like sports and arts reinforce the lessons learned in the classroom, offering students the opportunity to apply academic skills in a real-world context and enabling a holistic education.
